# Risk Configuration

> Global and per-pattern risk settings that control trade sizing and stop-loss behavior.

## Two-Level Risk System

1. **Global settings** — apply to all patterns unless overridden
2. **Per-pattern settings** — independent sizing for each of the 8 patterns

## Configurable Fields

| Field                | Default | Description                               |
| -------------------- | ------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Minimum trade amount | \$10    | Floor on any single trade                 |
| Maximum trade amount | \$100   | Cap on any single trade                   |
| Risk level           | Medium  | Internal multiplier (Low / Medium / High) |

## Risk Levels

| Level  | Multiplier | Best For                                    |
| ------ | ---------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Low    | 0.5×       | New users, Contrarian pattern               |
| Medium | 1.0×       | Standard usage, balanced patterns           |
| High   | 2.0×       | Experienced users, high-confidence patterns |

## Recommended Settings by Pattern

| 🔀 Intersection       | Medium–High          | Highest signal confidence              |
| 🔁 Position Add-On    | High                 | Maximum conviction signal              |
| 🦑 Big Entry (Kraken) | Medium–High          | Large whale entries                    |
| 📰 Pre-News           | Medium               | Good confidence, binary outcome        |
| 👛 Wallet Follow      | Medium               | Real-time, act quickly                 |
| ⚡ Quick Flip          | Medium               | Short duration, higher frequency       |
| 📈 Position Growth    | Medium               | Steady signal, lower urgency           |
| 🎲 Contrarian         | Low                  | Asymmetric upside, higher failure rate |

## Configuring Risk

Changes take effect on the next monitoring cycle.
